Scenes from an AZ funeral

As Luke continues to get older he opens his eyes more often. This was one of those times.

My two babies

Here's my two babies taking a nap together. Brandi doesn't get much sleep lately, so when Luke sleeps, she needs to take what she can get.

He likes to eat about every hour and a half to two hours, and then likes to fuss for another 30 min after feeding, which means there isn't much time for mommy to get her nap.

She's up all throughout most of the night, and then goes most of the day as well. She's so devoted to him.

One of the reasons I married her was because I knew she would be a good mom. I wish I could do more. Sometimes I feel guilty because all I do is go to work and can't help out. Even when I am around, I can't feed him due to lack of "equipment". I have however changed like 4 diapers, so that's something... :) I love my family!

They grow up so fast!

I tried to get pictures of him smiling, but the flash always makes him close his eyes.

I now understand why everyone says "they grow up so fast." It's only been 3 weeks, but already he has changed so much.

I just want him to stay little and precious forever! Even though it means some serious sleep deprivation.

At first we thought he looked just like his daddy. When we looked at baby pictures of Gilbert, we determined this is not true.

It will be curious to see who he takes after more.

2 weeks Stats

We took him in today for his 2 week check up. I can't believe it's already been 2 weeks!

He is still just a little guy. He now weighs 7 lbs. 12 oz. and is 20.1 in. long. He is in the low 30s percentile for all his stats.

He already has such a personality. Some things we have learned about our little guy:

He LOVES to eat, and eat often!

He does not like being cold.

He hates getting his diaper changed.

He knows when you try to set him down, he's smart already.

He has already figured out how to suck his thumb.

He likes to sleep with his parents, he is afraid of the dark :)

He snores, and snorts at you when he gets mad.

He likes the back of his hand rubbed and he sticks out his pinky finger for you to rub that too.

He has to have his hands up by his face at all times, don't even try to wrap him up tight in a blanket with his arms down.

Best of all, he is the cutest little guy EVER!

We are so happy to have him! Even with all the lack of sleep, he is worth everything!

Visit from cousin Bella

Aunt Brooke, cousin Bella, and Uncle Sterling came to visit for the weekend.

Bella has uncle Sterling wrapped around her finger, she LOVED being held and walked around by him. It was Love at first sight.
