Graduated

Today was Luke's preschool graduation.  I can't believe he finished his second year of preschool.  He's had great preschool teachers the past two years, and next year he will be off to a new preschool.  Luke won't be 5 years old in time to start kindergarten this fall.
This is Luke at the beginning of the preschool year.  I think he's grown up so much this year.  He's really enjoyed practicing his handwriting.  He loves to write his name.  He can write his first and his last name.
Luke still has a lot to learn.  One more year of preschool will do him well.  Luke has always loved his letters, and he's learned them well.  He can still work on holding still and paying attention.  That can be so difficult for little boys who would rather just goof off and have fun.
Something funny about Luke, he can be the pickiest eater.  What kid isn't?  The other night I made dinner, and plated it up for the kids to eat.  I had them sit to the table, and Luke of course was refusing to eat it.  It was the end of the day, and I was frustrated with this routine of his.  I try hard to get the kids to eat and try different things.  Luke asked for something different.  The item he requested, I actually already had leftovers of, so I just quickly warmed them up, and put them on a new plate for him to eat.  After he took a few bites, he exclaimed "I love this, this is like a restaurant!"  In my frustration, it was one of the funniest things he's ever said.  Yes, mommy's are like restaurants.  We cater to our children's many demands!
