Lake Powell is the best vacation ever! We spent 4 beautiful days out on Lake Powell. Gilbert isn't much of a water person, so he spent a lot of his time fishing. He engineered a make-shift fishing poll for the kids and they caught at least 10 fish with it. It kept the kids occupied for hours. They even filled up a cooler with water to keep them for a short period of time.
I spent a lot of my time reading and playing cards. I would have loved to go out and ride the Air Head, or ski, but the doctor said that probably wouldn't be a good idea :) I won several card games which was a first for me. Gilbert even won once trying to shoot the moon in Hearts.
It was perfect weather. It rained a little bit every day, but it was still perfect. It wasn't too hot, and the water was 80 degrees. Luckily the nights weren't too hot either. There was one day of a very brief flash rain storm that made water falls down the sides of the rocks. It was absolutely beautiful. There is nothing better than waking up to the sun rising and seeing the water like glass and listening to the fish jump.
