Better luck fishing

Me and my fishing buddy (Quinn, a co-worker of mine), biked in to Deer Creek reservoir about 3.5 miles along a trail next to the Heber Creeper tracks. We used to be much more into mountainbiking, but this last summer, we've been getting into fishing as well, so it was fun to incorporate the two, bike in, do some fishing, and bike back out. We packed up a backpack of our fishing equipment, and took off.

This is a shot of the lake. It was pretty chilly, so the boaters weren't out, and it made the lake really calm. It really was quite beautiful. We road up after work, and didn't leave until about 9:00. This late in the year, the sun goes down at about 7:30 or 8:00, so by the time we left that evening, it was pretty well pitch black. We had to bike out by the light of the moon. We should have brought flashlights...

The fishing was pretty good when we first arrived. Quinn and I both caught a "delicious bass" very soon after arriving. These weren't trophy fish by any means, but based on our previous outings, we were already having better luck.
