Ellie is 2 month old already! Wow, does the time fly by. We took her in for her well check and the doctor and nurses all commented on how strong and alert Ellie is. She wouldn't fit into our family if she wasn't an active little girl! Her acid reflux has improved only in that it doesn't bother her very much anymore. However, her colic in the evenings is still not very fun.
Ellie loves to snuggle and she loves movement. She is not necessary a swing baby. She likes bigger movements and her favorite is walking. She loves to be walked around while she looks around. She still has all her hair which everyone comments on. It's a lot of hair for a newborn.
It's amazing how babies know when they are dead asleep if they are being held or not. Ellie knows! She doesn't want to be left alone, but who could resist just cuddling with a newborn. This is her favorite position. She likes to be facing out with her elbow up as she drifts off to sleep.
We are finally getting some smiles out of this girl. Her eye development is a little slow, but she smiles when she hears Luke and Clara talking to her or laughing. Ellie also seems at peace in the water. She loves to take a bath, and this little gal has already been to the swimming pool. She loves it!
Ellie still seems to have her own look. She's not looking like Luke or Clara, but more of a go between them both. She is a chubby one. She's got fat rolls in her neck, arms, and legs which we love. She's just starting to coo, trying to talk like the rest of us talk to her! We love our baby Ellie!
