The Hunt

We spent our Easter Hunt extravaganza at the Thanksgiving Point EGGSTREME egg hunt!

It. Was. Awesome!

 Clara rode in the Chick-Fil-A cow trailer ride, with the Easter Bunny right behind her.

She wasn't so sure about it at first,

and the attendants thought she was too little to ride by herself...

but she is a brave little girl!

Luke...not so brave- he wanted nothing to do with the cow trailer ride!

 Then we got to meet Mr. Easter Bunny himself!

Clara was thrilled.

Luke was still a little apprehensive.

My favorite thing about Luke lately...

He LOVES his sunglasses.

He thinks he needs them for everything and everywhere.

He's such a stud!

 Next...it was hunt time.

There were hundreds of kids there.

It was broken up into age groups.

We gave the kids a pep talk,

that went something like this:

"hurry and pick up an egg, throw it in your basket, then hurry and find more eggs!"

We tried to stress the FAST FAST FAST part.

It was a great pep talk.

 Luke ran in, and picked up one egg,

then he ran back to show me.

He was thrilled with 1 egg....this kid just did not know how to hunt!

We had to tell him to keep going back for more!

 In the end,

both the kids came back with full baskets.

They both loved that there was now lots of candy!

 It was a great hunt this year.
