While we were vacationing in California, we decided to spend two of our days at Disneyland. They were two of the most magical days we've ever had! The kids were so excited, but they truly didn't understand until we'd been in the park for a few hours to feel the magic.
As soon as we got to Disneyland on our first day, we spotted Goofy and had to meet him. Our kids are at the perfect age to enjoy the real life characters. It was pure joy for them to meet these characters they'd seen on tv.
Although there was lots of time spent waiting in line, we were able to go on a relatively low occupancy time. We rode nearly every ride in Disneyland. The kids of course picked out their favorites right away. We were able to spend time in Disneyland with cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandma and grandpa.
We were able to attend the "Mickey's Magical Map Show" and the kids were totally enthralled. It was a great show with singing and dances and character appearances.
The kids loved the spinning tea cups. We rode the tea cups several times!
While we were at Disneyland, I felt like we soaked up every minute with smiles. So on nearly every ride, we took smiling selfies.
One of our most favorite rides was the buzz light year ride. We rode this one a couple times which was great. I don't think the kids quite understood that we got to shoot things until subsequent rides. It was a great competition to see who could get the highest score with the laser guns.
For some crazy reason, the kids enjoyed Winnie the Pooh the most. We rode this ride the most. It was usually no wait and just a fun easy ride.
The kids adored meeting all the characters. The characters were all so pleasant and the kids just really enjoyed talking with them.
The best experience we had at Disneyland was meeting Elsa and Anna from frozen. Luke was totally smitten with these princesses, and Clara talked their ears off telling them all about all the rides we had been riding. This was the cutest moment for us as parents, to see our kids so thoroughly enthralled.
Meeting Peter Pan was a total hoot! He was absolutely hilarious.
Our entire group!
