Our sweet Ellis is officially 6 month old. Time has been passing by far too quickly. She is simply a joy and the perfect addition to our family. She is working on sitting up by herself. She seems to have no desire to crawl because she does not like being on her tummy.
She is very content to be in the presence of others. She doesn't like being alone, but she's used to chaos, and who likes being alone? She has a serious preference on siblings, and its kinda funny. She very much prefers Luke's attention of Clara's. This breaks Clara's heart quite a bit. No one can get Ellie to giggle quite like Luke can. She is absolutely in love with Luke.
We tried to give Ellie some foods to start, and she was not loving it. Although she watches all of eat as if she wants it too. We did give her a french fry to try and she was in heaven. Mostly because she really likes to hold things and put them in her mouth. She enjoyed being able to feed herself.
Ellie does not sleep through the night, and she's not a regular napper. Sometimes its hard for her to get a decent nap because our house is so noisy! She doesn't like to lay down either. If you lay her on her back she will lift up her head and legs like she's doing very difficult sit-ups. She wants to be held or she wants to stand on her own two feet, with assistance. She likes to feel things. She is constantly reaching her hands out to touch everything. She seems like a curious little girl, yet an observer at the same time.
Ellie absolutely loves the bath. If you turn on the bath water and take her into the bathroom she'll start kicking her legs with excitement.
A few things Ellie loves:
She loves her toes. She finds joy in tickling her own toes and finding them.
She loves her blankets, especially super soft blankets.
She likes to play peek-a-boo, especially if its Luke playing with her.
She likes to hold small objects that fit her small hand perfectly and inspect them.
She loves her mama the most, and is perfectly content to be held all the time.
