Spring Break

We spent Spring Break visiting my sister in Camas, Washington which is right outside of Portland, Oregon. It was a blast!

My mom flew out with me and my brother drove down to hang out with us for the week. I was glad to have my mom fly with me because traveling with a baby is not easy task, especially flying with one.

We had a week full of adventures! Having a baby in Provo is not a big deal, it's just another baby. However, in Portland, where people don't see babies ever day, a group walking around with TWO babies commanded a lot of attention. Especially with my sister's baby girl, who will smile at anyone who will give her attention!

We had the opportunity to eat at my brother-in-law's restaurant which is one of the nicest restaurants I have ever eaten at. We all had FANTASTIC meals and got to try appetizers and 4 different desserts! The best part of the evening besides the best desserts ever was watching my brother and brother-in-law do oyster shooters, which are raw oysters! YUCK! Sterling liked them though, and it was his fist time trying
it.

We went to the Japanese Gardens which are always fantastic. The last time we were there was 10 years ago when my brother got married in the Portland Temple. It's amazing how perfect they keep those gardens. Plus 2 girls carrying around babies hiking up the side of a mountain got a lot of attention too.

We went to some outlets south of Portland, which is always fun. Let's just say Luke scored with some new summer outfits!

The most interesting part of the trip is the traveling part. No matter how big your car is, trying to fit 2 babies, 2 car seats, 2 strollers and 4 adults into 1 vehicle is a challenge! Luckily we fit, but it was a tight SQUEEZE every time we got in and out of the car.

Then there is my sister's dog, Tidan. He is a very special dog with a funny temperament. He rarely barks, and always wants attention. You could run up and down the stairs at least 10 times before he made is up just once. He whines if he wants something, which is usually just some attention. Don't sit by his bum because I made that mistake once and almost passed out from the smell of him passing gas! He just follows you around the house, and if you move, then he very slowly moves. Surprisingly Luke wasn't scared of him, which is good because if we would have let him, Tidan would have gladly licked Luke's face.

All in all it was a very fun week! These are a few pictures to show the fun times we had!
