4th of July

 We spent our 4th of July holiday in Idaho again this year.  It was another fun trip.  This is Luke chillin' at the parade.  The kids are just starting to really get into parades.  I think its so funny to watch Luke clap and yelp at the floats that pass by.  There wasn't much candy this year which was disappointing for the kids.  Clara's attention span isn't quite there for the parade, but Luke really enjoyed it.  Plus he just looks awesome in his sunglasses.  He absolutely loves those sunglasses!

 We later hit up 2 BBQ's.  Lots of hamburgers and hot dogs for us.  Good thing our kids really like hot dogs!  The weather was perfect.  Almost too hot, but it was a great day for bbq-ing.  

 The kids' favorite part was the fireworks.  The kids wanted to be very involved.  Luke wanted to light the fireworks himself, but that wasn't going to happen!  They loved the smoke bombs, and just the simplest fountains.  Things that are too loud or shoot up too far are too scary for Luke.  Clara was clutching Gilbert's pants when she was scared if they got too loud.  They were acting so brave, but really they were a little scared.

 The kids also did boxes and boxes of pop-its.  They love those.  I'm not even sure if those are considered fireworks, but they think those are great.  Any fireworks on the mild side they are a fan of!

 We also spent a day at Ross Park, which is a water park in Pocatello.  It was actually a little bit of a cold day to be swimming, but the sun did eventually come out.  The kids didn't seem to mind.  They just shivered their way in and out of the pool. 

 Luke and cousin Bella just ran around like crazy kids with endless amounts of energy.  The life guards had to get after them a couple of times for running or going down the slide to close to each other.  That only made me laugh.  They were inseparable. Luke calls Bella "his special friend" he just loves her!

 It was a fun day at the swimming pool with a fun group of people.

Our trip to Idaho was just go-go-go.  Our kids came home exhausted!  Going to grandma's house it too much play.  They had a lot of fun, and as soon as we were driving home, Luke was already asking when we could do it all again.
