Feeding Time

The picture above is what Luke looks like when feeding time is over.
This is what you would expect, a happy smiling child.
Luke is happy because feeding time is over!

The picture below is the faces we get while trying to feed Luke.

Luke will turn his head to the side and look down to avoid having to eat anything.
He will hold this position until we are done offering him food.
The best is when he holds this position,
but looks just with his eyes to see if you are still there with a spoon in your hand
or a sippy cup full of juice.
He is spying on you to see if you are still there, or if its safe to turn around again.
I was trying to get a picture of that face, because its actually quite hilarious,
but I wasn't fast enough to catch him in the act.

Most of the time during feeding time, one of us has to distract him,
while the other shovels in as much food as possible
without him realizing that he is eating.
He has gotten really good at avoiding us.
I don't know why this kid won't eat.
He has now fallen to the 6th percentile for weight!
We have succumb to lacing his food with olive oil and vegetable oil!
We figured that we need to fatten up what this kid WILL eat, and that's what it takes!
