We are home now, and we just wanted to thank everyone who called and had us in your prayers. There's nothing like sleeping in your own bed/crib. Luke finally decided to start eating late in the day yesterday, and his fever has now subsided. He is still rather hoarse and doesn't have much of a voice, which makes his cry seem so sad. As we were leaving the hospital, the nurse walked us out. She told us the reason she choose to work pediatrics was because they always get better quicker, or they seem to bounce right back. This was true for Luke. It seemed Luke just woke up from his nap and then started eating after about a day and a half of refusing anything to eat or drink. So now Luke is almost back to his normal self, and enjoying taking a nap in his own crib. The crib at the hospital was not all that comfortable. I would know because they let me sleep in it with Luke, and that's the picture we should have posted :) So now we will recover from a few days of literally no sleep. If we seem to walk around like zombies, its because Gilbert and I are going off of NO SLEEP! I guess we are going to have to lock Luke up in a germ-free environment to keep him from getting sick in the future( I am sure every parent has thought about doing something like this anyway) Or at least has thought about it after spending a couple days in the hospital.
